Hello everyone :)
It's been a few days since i last posted and everything so i figured i would post what ive been up to the past few days :)
First of all, i have to let you all know that i made a mistake in my last post while i was talking about the Evangelion dvds that i own. After inspecting the cases to the seperate volumes that i own, a little better, i foolishly realized that i made a mistake and had stated in my last post that they were released by the MANGA anime dvd distributor, which they were really released by the anime distributor by the name of ADV. I wasnt completely wrong though - The 2 Evangelion movies that i have were released by the MANGA company, which must have been what initially threw me off lol.
Strangely enough- the Evangelion box set that i own was released by ADV as well, I certainly apologize for any mix ups it may have caused , especially if anyone who had read my last post and gone on a wild goose chase in order to find the dvds lol.
Speaking of Evangelion, Im currently watching Episode: 9 (Both of you dance like you want to win!). Ive really started to enjoy the series a bit more and understand it alot better than when i had originally started watching it. Ive also been enjoying it alot since Kaji made his first appearance in Episode 8 (Asuka Strikes). Those of you who may not know, Kaji has always been my favorite Evangelion Character, probably because we dress and act pretty much identically lol. Another thing i really like about him was that he always seems to know whats going on, and what the big picture holds, and ive always tried to be the same way. He's cool and always calm under pressure which is always good lol.
Ive got episode 9 and 10 to finish then ill be done with disc 2, Things are starting to pick up a bit now that alot of the characters have been introduced, especially Asuka ( i really like it when she speaks German lol). Its been a great adventure so far and i certainly look forward to finishing it :)
Saturday Morning when i got home from work, I came in my room like i normally do, and took off my jacket and unbuttoned my shirt, like i normally do, emptied my pockets and took off my shoes - which is what i do every morning when i get home from work lol. Except saturday morning was different. After i do all of those other things, i usually go and turn on my computer. However, that morning when i turned on my computer tower, it came on as usual, but when i turned on my monitor - it caught fire in the back of it LOL. It wasnt a big fire, just a small flare up and alot of sizzling like someone was cooking something lol. I tried for a short while to get the monitor to work, but soon realized that he was done for, so i just drove up to the pawn shop right up the road from my house and bought an even bigger monitor for only 40$. Lucky or me they had the computer stuff up there marked down 50%. This monitor is used, but its bigger and it works, so its cool with me :) ill have to post a memorial pic of my old monitor up in ym next post to commemorate 5 years of service lol. After i handled the monitor situation, i played a little bit of Final Fantasy 4, just to see where i was at and stuff. I was surprised to see that i was pretty far into the game when i stopped, i still need to level up though defensively, because my characters arent very strong when it comes to defense, ill have to see what i can do, Ill probably play it a little bit at work tonight on lunch :)
Yesterday (Sunday), i didnt really do much of anything. I watched random stuff on tv, messed around online and around 11pm last night after i woke up from sleeping for a little while, I had the Urge to watch the movie "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly". If you havent seen it, its an older movie from the 60's and its a western starring Clint Eastwood. It's 2 hours and 41 minutes long, but it is really good. I know alot of people our age and younger dont really like western films, but i take exception to this film and a few other western films because it isnt the typical western. Overall it breaks the western stereotype and it is often called the "Pulp Fiction" of its time. those of you who havent seen Pulp Fiction may not totally understand, but its a good movie too, and it also broke the film barriers in its own ways. I personally liked The Good The Bad and The Ugly because of the music. i liked the actual movie itself, but the music just made it so much better. I wouldnt expect everyone to like it, but its a good movie and should at least be watched once. The story is great, the action is great, the music is great and it is put together really well to the point where you you cant really tell that it was made in the 60's. It stands the test of time thats for sure :)
well, i suppose that has pretty much been what ive been doing the past few days. Its not much, but it kept me busy lol. Well i think im going to get back to watching Evangelion :) I thank you all for visiting and i hope you all enjoyed the post :) Hope to chat with you all soon :)
stay strong,

Miami Vice
It looks like I'm back again :)
I havent been up to much the past 2 days, as some of you may not know - ive had yesterday and today off work for vacation (which were originally planned to be the first 2 days off for my trip to the Texas Renaisance Festival, but since they wouldnt let me have tommorrow (friday) off as weel, i wasnt able to take the trip) so I still took yesterday and today off work. Ill have to go in and work tommorrow night, but then ill be off saturday and sunday (my normal days off), which isnt so bad lol.
Right now ive just been cleaning and staying busy in a way. I just finished watching the movie "HEAT", which is something i do occasionally every month or so while cleaning or re-arranging my room lol. Earlier i cleaned my cieling fan, which desperately needed it lol, so right now im pretty much done with the cleaning part of my day.
Im not totally sure what ill be doing to pass the time for the rest of the day, but after reading Bulma's post, ill probably be watching one of the vampire movies that i own. Im not sure which one at the moment, but im leaning towards "Interview with the Vampire". Im oressing to play some Final Fantasy 4 as well, because im curious as to where i am on the game lol, its been years since ive played it and im itent on finishing it along with some other games :)
Yesterday I pretty much did nothing. When I got home from work i was tired, but i didnt really want to go to sleep. I wasnt feeling all that emotionally great either. I wont go into detail here because it probably isnt appropriate or anything, i'd just say that it is typical guy stuff. single guys would understand, and people that i am close to here at theotaku and in general will most likely know where im coming from. Im not totally sure why i felt down, i guess sometimes it just hits you somedays and then the more you think about it, the more it brings you down. In the end, i came to the conclusion that i needed to watch the movie Miami Vice (the one that came out 2 years ago). Ive always been a big fan of the tv series version from back in the 1980's, and im a really big fan of the movie. Alot of people didnt like the movie too much, mostly because it wasnt exactly like the series. Ill be honest, im the biggest Don Johnson fan ever and when i heard that Colin Farrel was going to play his character in the movie, i was really worried because im not really the biggest Colin Farrel fan. The only Colin Farrel movies i really liked were Miami Vice and The New World, both of which are really great. My favorite thing about the Miam Vice movie were the landscapes and scenery. Everything just looked really awesome, from the lighting, to the ocean, to the city lights and one of my favorite things in the movie - the music. When i watch it, it always makes me feel good, for some reason i dont know why, but im sure everyone has something that does the same thing in a way lol.
I highly reccomend Miami Vice to some of the older people here at theotaku, and if you like historical type movies, then i very highly reccomend the movie "The New World". It's an awesome verion of the Pocahontas story, but dont expect it to be like the disney cartoon version. Id say its one of the greatest movies of all time and i was kinda mad that it didnt get any Academy Awards, which it sadly deserved. Miami Vice and The New World are both very long movies, over the 2 hour mark i believe, be sure to check them out :)
Yesterday i also managed to finish the first disc of my Neon Genesis Evangelion box set. Those 5 episodes went by pretty quick, and when i started watching the episodes, everything started to come back tome and i started remembering things. I also realized how much more clear this dvd version is. My other Evangelion dvds that were released by the MANGA anime company were not as visually clear, and i also remember the screen cels shaking a bit before screen changes in the MANGA dvds, which has been cleaned up in the new box set that i have. Sometime today ill probably do through volume 1 of the box set and volume 1 of the MANGA dvd and see if i can point out any other differences to share with you guys. It'll give me something to do to pass time thats for sure lol.
Well, i suppose that will be everything for todays post, I noticed that they posted some new member upgrades on the main page of Theotaku, I was excited and hoping that id be one of the people who were upgraded - but sadly i wasnt. I dont feel bad about it though, I'll just have to work on posting a bit more and try to get back into the groove of making wallpapers for new sections, as well as suggesting new sections to be added lol. Alot of work and alot more Adventures. I thank you all for visiting and i hope you enjoyed the post. hope to chat with you all sometime soon :)

Hello everyone,
It's good to be be back with a post today. I was a bit more lazy this weekend and i didnt post or create wallpapers like i had originally planned, So i told myself that there wasnt a chance that i wasnt going to post today, so here i am lol. i at least owed you guys that much :)
This weekend wasnt all that eventful. Saturday morning when i got off work, i came home and pretty much immediately started playing the videogame Rockband. I had finally finished unlocking everything on the game during the day on friday, so i figured id play a few songs until i found something else i wanted to do lol. While i was playing, i had the chance to chat with Bulma a little bit, which was really nice. I dont get many chat visitors these days anymore, so it was a real treat to chat about Final Fantasy and stuff :)
I ended up playing Rockband for quite a while, longer than i had planned, so i turned it off after a while and started making some changes on my myspace page. I changed my background and deleted some people that i didnt care much for anymore lol (they probably never cared much for me either lol), sent some people some messages, and browsed single women in my area (found nothing that caught my eye) until i was just too tired to do anything, then i went to bed lol.
I ended up sleeping for longer than normal, and on 3 seperate occasions i woke up from bad dreams - the last one strangely waking me up exactly at midnight, which made me feel somewhat wierd, so i just stayed awake for a little while and thought about what i wanted to do, but nothing came to mind, so i ended up watching Cutthroat Island on a movie channel i get called Movieplex. I really enjoyed the movie, I think the last time i had seen it, i had to have been around 9 years old or so, and i greatly ejoyed watching it this time around than before. I noticed alot of things that were similar between Cutthroat Island and the first Pirates of the Carribean movie, which led me to believe some ideas may have been stolen by disney, Ill have to look into that sometime lol. I always loved Gina Davis though, ever since i saw her in the movie "The Fly" , it was love at first sight lol.
Yesterday (Sunday), i didnt do much at all. I ordered 2 pizzas around noon and just watched the re-showing of Cuthroat Island and flipped back and forth through some football games. I was mainly waiting for the Dallas game to start, but after watching it through halftime, i was tired again so i went to sleep. I woke up around 3 this morning and started cleaning my room/bathroom and started doing laundry. At about 4 i had the pleasure of catching the movie called The Abyss on the same Movieplex channel. I hadnt seen the end of the movie before, so it was pretty cool to finally see it. Im hoping they will reshow it again this week so i can record it (that is if i cant find it on dvd at work lol) because its a sci fi masterpiece in my opinion. I really think anime fans would like this movie if they havent seen it before, it has some cool elements that are common with alot of anime titles, so be sure to check it out if you havent.
Later this afternoon, I finally finished my Blue Seed Box set.
Blue Seed
I was really pleased with the final 3 episodes (as well as the entire series). towards the end i could really notice the Evangelionesque-nature of the series, but id say it was a fitting end to an awesome series. It's a shame i took so long to actually sit down and watch it lol. I wont spoil the ending for you guys, but if you have any questions, ill certaily answer them, so feel free to ask :)
Now like i had planned, its time to move onto the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. Ive had this box set for a while and ive never watched any of this version. i do however have each seperate volume of the evangelion series on dvd that was released by the anime company MANGA, but this Slim pack box set version has been digitally remastered and also has the director's cut versions of episodes 21 - 24. So ill be starting this box set tommorrow. Here is a pic of the box set front cover, it is a shiny metallic cover( even though it looks dull because of the bright light from the scanner)
Evangelion Slim Pack Box Set
Portable screen/PS2/ Evangelion dvd
Those of you who have been following me since my days on Myotaku may remember this pic lol. This is a pic of the portable screen i own. Back in the day before they started letting me use a company tv at work to watch movies/play games on, I bought this screen to use during my lunch break at work with my playstation 2, so i could play games or watch movies etc. The day i took this pic, I was in my old room on the top bunk of the bunk beds i use to have. I mounted the screen on the wall and connected my PS2 to it so i could watch movies or play games while i was laying in bed lol. As you can see, i used my volume 1 dvd of Evangelion to test it out :) i know it looks silly, but ive always enjoyed being creative that way, so im sure you can all understand lol.
Well, i suppose that will be all for today, it looks like ive typed up quite a bit lol. i thank you all for visiting and i hope you enjoyed the post :) i hope to chat with you all soon :)

Hello everyone,
It looks like im back with yet another post. This one may not be so enjoyable though, as others have, youll find out why.
It looks like my planned vacationto the Texas Rennaisance Festival will be called off this year, due to a manager at work rejecting my input of 3 days off from October 7th-10th (plus i have weekends off, so its 5 days total). A culmination of a years wait has been flushed down the hole, so ive been a bitter man for the past couple of days. The whole 5 years ive been working there, ive never had requested days off rejected before. It makes me wonder if one or some of the managers have something against me in some way. Ive been out of my mind thinking about it, I just dont know. Id say the worst part about not going is the costume ive been working on. all the hard work has pretty much been negated, and it looks like it will be sitting in my closet for yet another year, and on top of that - my friend that has been waiting a year for me to visit him, will not get his chance to hang out.
So for the most part, ive been miserable to pretty much everyone at work, until i figure out whats going on behind the scenes up there. I probably wont get any information until tommorrow night (thursday night) , when the manager that has known me for a while will be back from her days off. She knows im a good worker and she is always honest to me, so im sure she will be bale to shed some light on the whole situation. Maybe ill be able to cut a deal or work something out in some way to get the days off or something, ill have to see what i can do.
Now on to something less aggravating.
Monday evening i finished the 3rd disc of Blue Seed. I cant remember if i posted about it or not. It is actually getting better and better as the series goes on, and it's also getting a bit more Evangelion-esque, which i didnt think was capable. Ive also started to notice that the music in Blue Seed is really good. This comes to a suprise due to the fact that im pretty picky when it comes to music in anime and normal movies for that matter. Surprisingly, ive also started to really like one of the characters in the series too, He's the boss of the main characters' company and leader of their group. They call him "Mr. Kunakida", ill see if i can add a pic in here before i finish the post lol. needless tosay, i only have 6 episodes left of the series, so ill be trying to enjoy all that i can before it ends. Ive really enjoyed it so far, and honestly, it has grown on me a bit, which in the beginning i didnt think id get into it very much. Goes to show how some anime can be i guess lol. here is a pic of Mr. Kunakida
Yesterday when i got home from work, i was still mad about my vacation days being rejected, so i really wasnt in the mood to do much of anything. i just sat here in my chair and tried to think of something to do that would take my mind off of work and being mad. I looked up some anime dvds i had that i hadnt watchedyet, on the www.imdb.com website, and while i was looking through my dvds, i came across my 3 dvds of Ah My Goddess. Believe it or not, ive had these dvds for about 3 years and i have never watched them, they hadnt even been opened yet, but i felt the urge to start watching it, so i opened up volume 1 and started watching it. I just laid in my bed and i got to the middle of episode 3 before i fell asleep. The guy in that series does have some bad luck, and i actually liked the episodes that i watched so far. I also saw some characters that i really liked - the 2 guys that are in the same college mechanics club as the main character. I just really liked how one of the guys talked, he pretty much yells everything, which was pretty funny, reminded me of Zenigata (good old pops) from Lupin the 3rd lol, always yelling all the time. Im sure ill be watching this series a bit more once i get finished with Blue Seed.
While i was going through my dvds i also got the urge to watch my Gatchaman box set, and Voltron Box set, but i have a feeling that when i finish Blue Seed, the next that will be in line to watch is probably my remastered Slim Pack Box set of Neon Genesis Evangelion along with the two movies. It's taken me a while to get fully prepared to watch that series and especially the movies, ever since my altercation with "The End of Evangelion" movie a couple years ago. Those of you who may not know what happened - well it was almost 3 years ago when i bought both Evangelion moves at Gamestop one night before i went to work. When i went on lunch that night, i started watching End of Evangelion. Keep in mind that i hadnt even watched any of the series before this moment, even though i had bought each volume seperately at Gamestop months prior. I hadnt bought the Slim Pack box set version yet, that would come about a year later. Sadly to say, the movie blew my mind. Sitting there in the breakroom, watching it on my portable screen with headphones, i felt helpless for the 2nd time in my anime life lol. (the first time came when i recorded the anime movie "Mobile Suit Gundam : Char's Counterattack" on Adult swim a few years ago. I felt so strange after i watched that movie). And those who know me, know that im always prepared, nothing catches me off guard, but that day i just wasnt prepared for that movie. The only thing i can say to describe it, was that the End of Evangelion movie made me feel small, very small. Insignificant compared to trials that those characters had to go through.
i watched the movie for about 15 minutes then i just turned it off lol. I remember playing a wrestling game on ym playstation for the rest of my lunch that day, but that movie stayed in the back of my mind for a couple weeks afterwards. Its pretty crazy, Im just hoping that ill be ready for both movies once im complete with the series, only time will tell lol.
Well, i think thats about it for today, I think im going to go watch some Blue Seed, or maybe make some wallpapers :) I thank you all for visiting and i hope you all enjoyed the post, even though i rambled a bit lol. Hope to chat with you all soon :)
stay strong,
Yamcha
Hello everyone,
It looks like im back with another post lol. That's three days in a row, it seems that im on a roll lol.
I havent got much to post about, I had a pretty good time this weekend, I got back into the trend of making some wallpapers this morning, since i had kinda been slacking off in that department. Yesterday evening after i finished cleaning around in here (my room), I got back into watching Blue Seed(an anime series). Last night i managed to watch about 3 episodes before i fell asleep lol. Which leaves me at episode 19 (which i am watching right now). One more episode and ill be on disc 4 (the final disc), and ill have 6 more episodes to watch until the end of the series. As you all might now, im not too keen on finishing series, I never liked it when the story came to an end. I first realized this when i had to watch the end of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, due to the fact that i was recording each episode and i couldnt just stop because i didnt want to see the end. I didnt like watching the end of Dragonball, Dragonball Z or Dragonball GT. Strangely, I did enjoy watching the end of Cowboy Bebop, probably because it was so poetic and ironic towards the end. Reminded me of the old action movies of the 80's in a way.
Earlier today I pulled out my collectors edition of Final Fantasy 12, to use the Bonus disc to get some screenshots from some of the older Final Fantasy games to possibly use for constructing future wallpapers, and while i was watching the "History of Final Fantasy", I couldnt help but feel bad: Simply because i had so many RPG games i hadnt finished yet, whether it was due to laziness or etc.
Here is a list of RPG games i havent finished.
Breath of Fire 4
Final Fantasy 4
Final Fantasy 12
Final Fantasy 8
Dragon Quest 8
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
Vagrant Story
Final Fantasy Origins (FF1 & 2)
Suikoden Tactics
MS Saga: a New Dawn
.Hack//Outbreak
Wild Arms 3
Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask
Tales of Symphonia
There are some other RPG games that i own that i havent even started yet, but those are the ones that im halfway through, or further. I feel kinda bad about having all these games, and i dont finish some of them. Watching "The History of Final Fantasy" kinda got me in the mood to try and finish these games. Im sure id have alot more fun, rather than sitting here being bored all the time lol. Not to mention that i would have some new and different stuff to post about for you guys. So it's time to jump back into an adventure and see if i still got it :) Ill have to see which game ill start with before i go to sleep later on today. If you have any suggestions as to which game on the list i should start with, feel free to let me know :)
Also, yesterday i had the privelidge of visiting Ryosuke Forever's world and seeing the pics of his new Rhaxephon box set, which in turn inspired me to post a pic of my box sets. I dont think i had ever done it before, so it seemed like a cool idea :) so here it is :)

This morning when i woke up i watched some of the episodes on the GIJOE box set i have, which inspired me to make some GIJOE wallpapers, once i found out it didnt have a section here on Theotaku. here are some clips of the 2 i made :)
They were pretty fun to make, and i hope to make some more GIJOE related wallpapers in the future :)
Well, i suppose that will be all for today, it was fun to get a post up and i thank you all for visiting :) I hope you all enjoy the post, and i hope to chat with you all soon :)
