The Blood of Rizel prt 1

She looked over at her closet and saw the dress her mother had picked out for her, a light pink fluffy thing. Walking past it she went to the closet and pulled out a dress she could almost stand wearing, simple and plain and the color of night. Her and her mother’s tastes could not be more different. While Lilly only cared at the function of her cloths her mother cared only for the way it looked. Putting it on she didn’t even take a second to look in the mirror before walking out of her room.

Coming down the stairs she heard her brother’s loud voice and turned into the library. By the window over looking the gardens she saw Connor practically jumping up and down in front of Jaden asking him questions about the Outlands and what its like to travel. If he had ever faced off against a lions or panthers. Again she could almost see herself as a child. Jaden hadn’t changed much in that time being of Rizel blood but she had become an adult, almost anyway. Ignoring her mother’s glare she went over to her father’s chair.

“Ah Lilly I was beginning to worry.” Her father said absently.

“You missed a spot.” She turned her head to Jaden who was grinning from ear to ear. He touched his chin motioning she still had some dirt on her face. Automatically she wiped her chin and shrugged. He seemed to be relaxed as if nothing had changed, that in itself irked her slightly.

“You should see me Jaden. I can wipe the floor with Lilly now.” Connor began again pretending he had a sword in his hand.

“Oh really squirt.” She turned and began walking threateningly towards her brother reaching out for him. He ran out of the library with a squeak bringing a satisfied grunt from Lilly.

“Lilly!” Sabine scolded. “You shouldn’t be doing such things to your brother. It isn’t lady like.”
