Tagged and a Winner

So I won my first challenge, The Protagonist! I'm also long overdue for a tagging response from Sparklingwave:

1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately (AKA, really, truly, with all honesty) have to tag 11 people.

Her questions:
1.What is your favorite nickname?
-It's KaidaFaye, ain't it? People at school called me "Asian" or "The Asian" or "Little Asian"...I'm only half.

2.Do you prefer coffee or tea, and why?
-I like both of them the same, but I'm more of a smoothie person myself.

3.Do you have an original character (o.c)? Do they represent you in any way?
-It's Jade/KaidaFaye from my comic. She is essentially me but she has the more interesting life and is more flexible. I wish I was more flexible.

4.What is one irrational fear that you posses?
-When I was little, my brother did something apparently that made me scared shitless of vacuum cleaners. Nobody wants to tell me and I don't remember what since fears become irrational when the memory of why you're scared in the first placed is blocked out of your memory. I'm turning 19 in December and I still cry and freak out when a vacuum cleaner turns on =(

5.If you had to become a vagabond what three items would you take with you?
-Pencil, Swiss Army Knife, and a really cool jacket/trench coat.

6.What is your favorite piece of literature?
-Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. And suck it up, those people that are in love with the book because of the movies and the suggestive drug use: I've carried my little volume from Barnes&Noble around since I was 10.

7.What would you like to do for the rest of your life (workwise)?
-Draw comics!! Or make video game designs, I'm gonna do something in art.

8.How much time do you spend outside each day?
-I try not to spend more than 10minutes in daylight. I'm Filipino, so I tan easily and I'm trying really hard to get pale. My outside activity usually involves walking from one end of campus to the other and then heading to the library in the middle of campus.

9.If you could change the world in anyway, how would you and why?
-War would be fought through hack-proof MMORPGs so that soldiers don't suffer in the real world.

10.What is your favorite word? (it can be anything, even a non-official one)
-Cripes. I say it a lot. I'm also fond of Tomfoolery.

11.How do you (meaning the spelling YOU use most OFTEN) spell the word Donut? DONUT or DOUGHNUT?
-When I'm talking about a doughnut from Dunkin Donuts, I use "donut". Otherwise, it's "doughnut".

I tag...FujinKeima, Japan, imouto chan, meow2puchiko, mewnicole, anime gecko, shizuka101, ponyochan, and crow666. I'd tag Minto and CalWoof too, but they don't even really visit theOtaku anymore =/

My questions are:
1.Favourite food?
2.Childhood hero?
3.What got you into anime/manga?
4.Do you draw?
5.Can you cook?
6.What do you want to be when you grow up? (Seriously)
7.Can you drive yet? Because I can't.
8.Can you ride a bike and when did you learn? Because I can't do that either...
9.Besides Japanese, what language do you wish you could speak?
10.Are you a math or language/English person?
11.What would your super power be? (Not want, WOULD. What fits you best?)

Enjoy! Sorry if my questions are boring, I'm not good at this kinda stuff...

Personal Life Rant

Usually I don't do this, but I feel like it tonight.

I get that I messed a lot of shit up between me and him last year, but he still stayed with me, and still tells me that he loves me. I know it's hard trusting me again, but I'm true and dedicated to him, and I know that trusting me fully is gonna take a long long time, and I'm happy that he's still with me, even if we don't have a title. Knowing you still say "I love you" without any sex involved feels great, and probably why I can stand not having a title between us right now. But it hurts to hear that he doesn't think I miss him while he's spending 2 weeks in Europe. I love him. I seriously screwed up before, last year, but I love him and it probably sounds stupid coming from someone just entering college. I don't care. I'll keep trying to prove that I can be trusted.

I used to not treasure my relationships before because of a guy I used to be involved with. I forced him out of my life, he was no good for me. No matter what relationship you're in, if you recognize that it's good treasure it. Treat it special, otherwise you'll end up in my mess--all because I didn't appreciate what I had right in front of me.

Hey look, I updated G33K!! Offline

Latest comic: LINK

So my boyfriend said he'd work his programming magic and set up my website for me, as long as I drew out the original design and did the graphics for him to follow and use. So far, all I've got is this:

See all that blank space? I've gotta figure out what should be there for each page, except the "STORE" page, since that's just gonna link out to my ecrater store. If you have any layout tips, lemme know!

As for the main comic, working on pages 10 out of about 16 for the first chapter. The first chapter is always the hardest because that's the one that people judge the comic off of. PRESSURE!!!

KaidaFaye out!

Back Online

Been away for a while, been busy with school and etc...I GRADUATED!! Next stop, college!

So, my goal for this summer is to finish a 48-50page installment of my comic G33K!! Hopefully will get a new laptop within in the next 3 weeks, so maybe I'll get shite done, you know? I've been using my mom's for the past year.

I need to go get comicking supplies too:
Multiliners
new sketchbooks, at least 8"x10"
Copic markers
boxes of mechanical pencils
packages of Magic Rub erasers
new triangle rulers

Honestly, the Copic markers are a dream. I've never used them and they're super expensive considering my wallet, which right now is currently nonexistent, excluding the $10 for gas money. And if my parents go through with the laptop graduation present, I'll have really no need for any of the stuff I mentioned. I want to get thisreally bad, but it's about $1000 and the keyboard that comes with it is a bluetooth one, and I want it to be detachable/attachable so it'd act like a regular laptop in class. Thisis the idea I have, except this tablet isn't really a PC, to me it's just a giant Android phone slash IPad competitor, which again, isn't a PC. The Asus Slate I want actually is Wacom, so it works well with Photoshop and everything. And since it's Windows, I could use it for school...it's just be easier for me if it had a detachable keyboard. Still on the laptop search for a fallback tablet convertible laptop.

Well, I'll go do stuff now. Bye bye!! I wonder if anyone really pays attention to my shite anymore, oh my...hah.

"You...don't wanna go for a RIDE, do you?"

Geezes, I love Aladdin.

Anyways, the more I draw, the more I find myself drifting from manga to a mix of manga and Disney. I kinda like it. And it's great, because that's kind of my theme for my portfolio this year. I'd upload some stuff but a)the pieces are too big and b)I can't set up the new scanner for the pieces that DO fit.

I sometimes feel like I'm getting worse at drawing, which is probably why I always want to show it off to people, to reassure myself that I'm actually getting better, based off their facial expressions when they see it.

I think my style is something I'm very close to defining now: something simple but detailed. A couple of people have said that when they look at my art, it looks like it's really simple but then when they look at it longer/closer they realize the small details I put into it(for example, drawing absolutely EVERY strand of curly hair 'til the whole head's filled).

I think what I like drawing most is the face...well, yeah, EVERYONE likes drawing the face, it's the first thing you learn. But it's the facial expression I like putting effort into, and the rest of the body has to flow along with that face. It reminds me of water.

I don't really have a point to writing this, I just felt like expressing myself some
