His smile widened then his blue eyes turned to Jaden. “I think you might regret your previous words my friend.” Then with a nod he turned and walked away.
Lilly looked up at Jaden whose jaw was twitching. “What did he mean by that?”
Letting out a breath he shook his head. “I believe he meant he’s interested.” The thought terrified her, he smiled down at her. “Well, you‘ve made quite an impression.”
“Great.” She mumbled.
“Lilly.” Rak said getting her attention. His eyes were locked on the entrance to the ballroom. There she saw the three Rizel Elders walk in. The crowd of humans seemed to part on the top of the shallow steps leaving them easy to see.
“Shall we?” Jaden said offering her his arm. She nodded and walked with him glancing back at Rak who nodded. She glared casually at everyone who stared at her while they walked towards the Rizel while everyone uniformly made their way away from them. When her head turned back she noticed the coppery haired Rizel staring directly at her with a crooked smile.
“Lilly this is Krogh of the Glaciel tribe of the Khithika clan.” The large man with white hair bowed his head. She could see their eyes so much clearer and the fact they were so different still struck her. “Then Pippen of the Flarious tribe of the Amanzi clan.” The shorter wiry looking fellow made a grand bow making his red eyes glint. “Then finally.” Jaden said as the coppery haired man stepped forward.
“Gavel of the Sunsblight tribe of the Ilang clan.” He said holding out his hand for her. Stunned she placed her hand in his. “We’ve heard so much about you Lady Lilly, but I see no girl before me. I see a beautiful young woman.” He straightened keeping a hold of her hand, his stare intensified making her cheeks flush. “Could I be so bold as to ask you to dance?” He asked with the same intensity.
